Linn-Benton Finishes Perfect Season, Wins Third-Straight NWAC Volleyball Championship over North Idaho

LAKEWOOD, Wash. - The Linn-Benton Roadrunners completed a perfect season and won their third-straight NWAC Championship, defeating North Idaho in four sets in the finals on Sunday night at Pierce College.

After previously not winning a championship, the Roadrunners under head coach Jayme Frazier have won three in a row. The 2023 trophy may be the most impressive of all as they recorded a perfect record of 36-0. 

Sophomore outside hitter Grace Boeder was named the Tournament MVP as she continued to be impactful in all facets of the match. Boeder finished with 10 kills, four digs, and an ace while she was dominant at the net with two solo blocks and four block assists.

After a rough first set in which North Idaho came out swinging to win 25-22, the Roadrunners responded well to win set two convincingly 25-16. The hitters for LBCC became unstoppable from set two on, as they hit .299 overall for the match. Brooklyn Willard was on her game with 19 kills and a .459 hitting percentage. Brooke Rogers posted 11 kills. Kinsey Brelage led all players with 25 digs as she shut down many Cardinal attacks. Meah Carley had 34 assists and 19 digs.

The Cardinals were led in the match by Rachael Stacey who had 11 kills and 11 digs. Karolyne Wolfgramm had 39 assists and 13 digs.
