TUKWILA, Wash. - The Highline College Thunderbirds men's soccer team secured an impressive 5-1 victory over the Rogue Community College Ospreys in the semifinals of the 2023 NWAC Men's Soccer Championship on Friday. Zane May led the Thunderbirds with a natural hat trick, scoring the first three goals of the game.

Rogue answered back in the 52nd minute on a goal by Yahir Valdovinos that seemed to swing the momentum towards the Ospreys. However, a second yellow for Rogue's Alejandro Redondo put the Ospreys down to 10 men for the final 32 plus minutes. Highline was able to capitalize with two more goals to seal the victory 5-1.

Highline's fourth goal was scored by Dugsiye Ahmed, who had a beautiful bicycle-kick to float it over the keeper's head. Austin Sijgers added the fifth and final goal for the Thunderbirds.
