Gemma Rowland, Women's Soccer Defensive - Peninsula

Sophomore • Defender
Central Linn HS • Shedd, OR

Rowland led the Peninsula defense to a pair of shutout victories, defeating Everett 6-0 and Whatcom 11-0. The defense allowed just three shots and two on goal between the two wins as they dominated possession. Rowland also had an assist in the win over EVCC. She and the No. 1 Pirates are off to an undefeated start with an impressive 35-2 goal differential.

"Gemma plays center back for a team that conceded just three shots all week," said head coach Kanyon Anderson. "Her work keeping the midfield and backline organized is a huge part of that success. She also had an assist with a beautifully placed long ball.
