Kap Laila, Men's Basketball - Lower Columbia

Laila led Lower Columbia to a 2-0 week with wins over Pierce 76-42 and #2 ranked South Puget Sound 90-78. The win over the SPSCC is the Clippers' first loss in region play this season. Laila was big for the Red Devils on both ends of the floor in the wins, scoring 14 points with nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks against Pierce. Then against SPSCC, Laila dropped 24 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists. Overall, he shot 16-for-25 from the floor for 64 percent shooting. 

"Kap was fantastic this past week," said head coach Mickey Polis. "He made plays on both ends of the floor and led us to two big conference wins."
