Isabelle Thorensen, Women's Cross Country - Edmonds

Sophomore • Lake Stevens HS • Lake Stevens, WA

 Thorensen ran a 6K Edmonds school record time of 22:01 at the NWAC Northwest Region Championships. Her finish was good for fifth individually and helped Edmonds take third place as a team. 

"If you could combine personal drive and determination, with a deep understanding and love for herself and those around her, I give you, Isabelle," said head coach Hosea Phillips. "This woman was chosen to lead The Women's Triton team right out of the box. Forget wearing our emotions on our sleeve, her entire personality is always evident. From her ability as a student athlete and fortitude as an individual, to her care and love for others. I have always said, 'She is the heart of the team.'"
