Poliana Lazarini, Volleyball Defensive - Wenatchee Valley

Lazarini had an impressive three matches in the back row as well as from the service line to lead the Knights to a 3-0 week. Playing all six rotations for WVC, Lazarini had a 20 digs in a sweep of Walla Walla, 15 digs in another sweep of BMCC before posting 22 more digs in a four-set win at Columbia Basin. She also had 10 aces on the week including a whopping seven against CBC. Lazarini was also strong in the front court with 23 total kills and a .270 hitting percentage. 

"Poliana is a beast in the back court," said head coach Maria Adams. "She is a dominating server whose top spin is like no other. She has a focus that is unbreakable and a desire for that ball to never hit the ground. She is phenomenal in the front row and back row! She is long over due for this award!"
