Javonte Darrett, Men's Basketball - Yakima Valley

Darrett led Yakima Valley to a pair of big wins in the East region, defeating Big Bend 94-73 and Spokane 92-89 on the road. Darrett averaged 26 points per game, seven rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals in the victories. He finished with 28 points while shooting 10-for-18 from the field against Big Bend. He followed that up with 24 points as he shot 10-for-14 from the floor against Spokane including hitting the game-winning three pointer with just four seconds remaining in the game. He has helped lead YVC to a 5-0 start in the East region. 

“Javonte has been averaging superb numbers, consistently, since December," said head coach London Wilson. "We went 2-0 this week with JD hitting a game winning 3-pointer at Spokane. He has lead the Yaks to a 5-0 start in region play.”
