Lane Head Volleyball Coach Jim Moore Steps Down After 5 Seasons

EUGENE, Ore. - Lane Community College head volleyball coach Jim Moore has stepped down after five seasons with the program.

During his five years at the helm of the Titan program, Moore compiled an overall record and led his team to five NWAC playoff appearances. The Titans captured two Southern Region Championships and placed 3rd at the NWAC tournament once under Jim's leadership. Moore was selected Southern Region Coach of the Year for the 20-21 season where his team compiled a perfect 14-0 Southern Region record.

In addition to their success on the court, the Titans excelled in the classroom, earning NWAC Academic Excellence awards and consistently earning one of the highest GPA among athletic teams on campus at Lane. The Titans completed degrees and transferred to four-year schools consistently throughout Jim's tenure.

"I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be a Titan," said Moore. "I will cherish all of the relationships I was able to build while at Lane with my coaching staff, support staff, and most importantly the outstanding student-athletes I was able to work with. The Titan athletic family is something special."

"I want to thank Jim for his dedication to the Lane women's volleyball program. His outstanding leadership was the driving force behind the volleyball program's success on the court and in the classroom. He will be greatly missed," said Athletics Director, Greg Sheley.

A search for the Titans' new head coach will begin immediately.
