PASCO, Wash. - 2023 NWAC Women's Soccer Champion Head Coach Omar Anderson from Columbia Basin College will continue his career at the NCAA Division I level as he heads to Grambling State University.
Following the recent 2023 NWAC Championship, Anderson has cemented his mark at Columbia Basin with the championship to go along with 3 Final Four appearances and 3 East Region championships in his 8 years at CBC. In those 8 years, he amassed a record of 85-31-24 (.610%) while recruiting 30 All-Region players, 1 East Region MVP and the 2023 NWAC Championship MVP.
He will assume the role of Associate Head Coach for a Grambling State team under head coach and Kennewick native, Justin Wagar. The Tigers won the Southwestern Athletic Conference at 15-5-4 and qualified for the NCAA tournament in 2023 after a great second season under Wagar. Anderson will have a chance to use his recruiting and technical coaching prowess to help make Grambling State a perennial in the SWAC.
