Bellevue Women, North Idaho Men Lead After Day 1 of NWAC Golf Championships

YAKIMA, Wash. – The Bellevue women's golf team and the North Idaho men's golf team lead after the first day of the NWAC Golf Championships at the Apple Tree Golf Course on Sunday.
The Bellevue women lead with a team score of +24, four strokes ahead of second place Spokane. North Idaho's women's team is also just behind in third at +31. Bellevue's Sarah Lawrence, who was the medalist for all four conference tournaments, is the individual leader after the first day at +4. Spokane's Alyssa Amann is just behind at +6, followed by North Idaho's Bella Gopwani at +7 and Bellevue's Tori Berger at +8.
On the men's side, North Idaho lead at +9 overall. Bellevue is in second at +18 with Skagit Valley just one stroke back at +19. Competing as an individual, Southwestern Oregon's Tyler Gardner leads the pack at -2. North Idaho's James Swan and James Baldauf are each +1 along with Bellevue's Dalton Dean and Skagit Valley's Avery Kindred.
Day 2 of the NWAC Championships will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday with a championship team crowned on each side at the conclusion of the day.
