Wayne Hampton, Men's Basketball - Mt. Hood

Hampton led Mt. Hood to a 3-0 weekend at the Red Devil Classic as they defeated three of the top programs from 2022-23. The Saints defeated 2023 runner-up Everett 89-76, final four team Columbia Basin 73-59 and West Region champions Lower Columbia 73-67 in the finals. Hampton earned Tournament MVP honors as he averaged 16 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists in the three games. He had his best game in the finals with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

"Wayne Hampton III is a returning sophomore point guard, making the all freshmen team in the 2022-2023 season," said head coach Alex Syum. "After an incredible freshmen season he looks to continue the momentum and culture being built at Mt. Hood."
