Tomita had one of the best pitching performances of the season as he threw a three-hit complete game shutout against Lane. The Lakers needed every bit of his performance as they defeated Lane just 1-0. Tomita had 10 strikeouts in the game with just one walk as the Lakers ended up winning on a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.
