Adidas Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week – Week 1

Sophia Pagnotta, Sehome HS / Bellingham, WA., collected 3 goals and an assist to lead the Orcas to wins over Bellevue and North Idaho last week at the NWAC Soccer Friendlies. Her hat-trick against Bellevue was the first on the season in NWAC women's soccer.

"Sophia was an impact player for the Orcas at the NWAC Friendlies, coming focused and ready to help her team, said Whatcom head coach Mary Schroeder. "She scored 3 goals in Whatcom's win over Bellevue and assisted the game winner against North Idaho.  Sophia's sister Lyla is an assistant at Whatcom after playing 2 years there.  We are all excited to see what Sophia is able to accomplish this season!"
